Our Principles

Every life deserves to be remembered.Every story deserves to be told.Every family deserves a way to keep love alive.

Good Times Cinema is built around six commitments. These describe how the product already behaves today — not aspirational marketing. If you ever see us fall short of one of these, please tell us.

  1. 01

    Always disclose AI honestly

Anywhere an AI is speaking, writing, or recreating a voice, we say so — plainly, and without a dismiss button. You will never be tricked into thinking a machine is a person.

    Already in place

Persistent AI-disclosure banners on Talk to Them and Dr. GT Remember; assistant messages never pose as the real person.

  2. 02

Never manipulate emotions or exploit grief

We refuse dark patterns, urgency tricks, guilt copy, or bereavement-timed upsells. Grief is not a funnel.

    Already in place

No countdown timers, no scarcity language, no upsells wedged into the tribute or Talk experience. Pricing lives on its own page.

  3. 03

    Protect every family's memories

Uploads, voice samples, and knowledge sources belong to the family — not to us, and never to another subscriber.

    Already in place

Row-level security on every table; per-memorial storage buckets; voice-clone samples in a private bucket; owner-only knowledge base and clip editor.

  4. 04

Respect every culture, religion, and worldview

Our tone is warm and human, never doctrinal. The assistant never claims certainty about the afterlife and never overrides a family's own beliefs.

    Already in place

Legacy Agent Policy explicitly forbids supernatural claims or promises about what happens after death; validation-first tone across all conversations.

  5. 05

    Encourage real human relationships

We are a place to sit with a memory — not a replacement for the people still in your life. The assistant will gently point you back toward them.

    Already in place

Policy layer instructs the assistant to invite reflection, encourage reaching out to loved ones, and never position itself as a substitute for real relationships.

  6. 06

    Preserve dignity, authenticity, and compassion

Any recreation of a real person — face, voice, likeness — is built only from that person's own uploaded material, with the family's consent recorded first. In crisis, we drop persona and surface real help.

    Already in place

Identity-drift checks on face swaps; ElevenLabs cloning gated behind owner attestation and real audio; crisis detection surfaces 988 and breaks persona immediately.
